We are pleased to present the latest free online courses available on the IDF School of Diabetes Understanding Diabetes platform.
- Type 2 diabetes and the heart: a 30-minute course that explores the impact of diabetes on heart health, focusing on how high glucose levels can affect the blood vessels and lead to heart issues. It offers practical tips on lifestyle changes, diet, and medication to help maintain good heart health while living with diabetes. https://understandingdiabetes.org/type-2-diabetes-heart/en
- Type 1 diabetes, overview, treatments and targets: a 30-minute course that provides an overview of type 1 diabetes, how it develops, the need for daily insulin and the effects of lifestyle factors on glucose levels. It also looks at various methods to monitor these levels and how to recognise potential complications. https://understandingdiabetes.org/type1-diabetes/en
