Following the recent publication of the IDF-DAR Diabetes and Ramadan Practical Guidelines 2021, IDF and the Diabetes and Ramadan International Alliance are hosting a series of regional online workshops in February and March.
The workshops are informed by the contents of the IDF-DAR Guidelines, which have been developed by leading experts in the field of diabetes and Ramadan. The focus will be on management recommendations to optimise the care delivered to people with diabetes who plan to fast during Ramadan.
The first online workshop was held on February 13 for a French-speaking audience. A further five workshops are scheduled in February and March:
- February 20, 1:00 PM GMT: DAR Africa
- February 26, 2:00 PM GMT: DAR Middle-East and North Africa
- February 27, 7:00 AM GMT: DAR Asia
- February 27, 2:00 PM GMT: DAR North America and Caribbean
- March 25 (time yet to decide) : DAR Europe
