【IDF School of Diabetes】Understanding Diabetes platform- online education platform
IDF recently launched a new online education platform in the IDF School of Diabetes to help people with diabetes and those who care for them make informed decisions about their condition.
The Understanding Diabetes platform - https://www.understandingdiabetes.org - features a selection of free interactive courses on diabetes care and management. Two courses are currently available:
· An Introduction to Diabetes: this course explains how diabetes develops in the body, describes the main types and explores the warning signs, risk factors and complications. It has been developed with the support of the Boston Scientific Foundation Europe.
· The Basics of Blood Glucose Control: this course describes how blood glucose is measured, what to do when blood glucose levels go too high or too low and highlights the importance of keeping levels within the target range as much as possible. It has been developed with the support of Servier.
