Over the past three decades, there have been remarkable advances in the treatment of hyperlipidemia but residual risk remains. Prof. Frederick Raal (South Africa) will talk about the limitations of traditional lipid-lowering therapies, introduce emerging strategies such as PCSK9-inhibitor therapy and ANGPTL3 inhibition, and discuss the importance of targeting other atherogenic lipoproteins like remnants and Lp(a).
Additionally, Dr. Aguilar A Salinas (Mexico) will examine the applications, challenges, and opportunities of precision medicine in dyslipidemia management, emphasizing its potential impact, particularly in developing countries.
