IDF 2015 Atlas - Call for new prevalence data

各位會員您好 IDF 2015 Atlas正在徵求最新的資料(Call for new prevalence data),轉貼IDF需求如下,敬請各位會員過目參酌 謝謝 ------------------------ Dear Member Associations, We are looking for new sources of diabetes prevalence data to include in the 7th edition of the IDF Diabetes Atlas in 2015. IDF uses diabetes prevalence (number or percentage of people with diabetes) data on a local or national level, from a variety of sources estimates of diabetes prevalence. It is important that the data is divided at least into three age groups. We use a systematic process is to determine if studies can be included in the estimates by scoring them. Studies with the following criteria have the greatest chance of being selected as source data: · Studies of a large number of people · Studies conducted over the whole country, rather than in just one city · High response rate (greater than 60%) · Conducted in the last 5 years · Published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal · Diabetes identification by oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) or fasting blood glucose test Estimates for countries without available data are extrapolated from neighbouring countries. We take the prevalence rates for diabetes from a neighbouring country and apply it to population data to estimate the number of people with diabetes in that country. If you are aware of a diabetes prevalence data source that would help to improve the estimates of the next IDF Diabetes Atlas please email details to atlas@idf.org. If you do not have this kind of information and data but you are in contact with an expert who might have this information for your country, please send us the contact details of this person.
